This is an interacrive opportunity to hear Stephanie's story and learn about the fascinating world of the brain, it's functions and health. 🧠
🎤 Our speaker, Stephanie Quintero Chacon, is a Research Coordinator at NYU Grossman School of Medicine in the Departments of Pediatrics and Population Health, and the Institute for Excellence in Health Equity. Stephanie is a graduate of Hunter College, where she earned a degree in Human Biology with a focus on Chemistry. She also completed the STEPPS Clinical Research Internship.
Stephanie’s interest in public health is deeply personal. Her own health experiences shaped her awareness about disparities in healthcare access between communities, which inspired her to work towards health equity. Her research focuses on how emotional and physical health are connected. Stephanie values the importance of cultural understanding in research and ensuring that people from different backgrounds are included and heard in health studies.
