Applied AI Innovation Lab
$2,500,000

Civic Hall is proposing the creation of the Applied AI Innovation Lab to position NYC as the global leader in applied AI by developing a diverse, AI-ready workforce and fostering AI-driven innovation. Located at our Bernard Goldstein Center at Union Square, the lab will provide cutting-edge workforce training to meet the growing new skills demand in applied AI. Our lab will function as a collaborative applied AI ecosystem, bringing together educators, training providers, and employers to co-design AI-driven programs directly aligned with industry needs. The lab will also include development space for budding AI entrepreneurs, providing tools, mentorship, and infrastructure to build and test new AI-driven solutions.

Esports Lab
$2,500,000 

The Esports Lab will support the rapidly growing field of competitive gaming, providing individuals with access to high-end gaming technology, opportunities for team-building and leadership, and pathways into careers in game design, broadcasting, and digital production. The lab will serve as a community hub and training ground, hosting tournaments, workshops, and digital storytelling programs designed to foster inclusive participation in esports and game development.

Makers Space
$3,000,000 

The Makers Space on the 7th floor will be a hands-on technology lab for 3D printing, robotics, and hardware prototyping. This collaborative space will enable students, entrepreneurs, and technologists to design, test, and build physical products. Sponsorship includes branding opportunities, community maker challenges, and co-hosted innovation nights.

IT Networking Program
$1,000,000 

This program provides a robust entry point into the tech sector through a partnership with CompTIA. Civic Hall’s Introductory IT course equips participants with foundational networking skills and prepares them for CompTIA Network+ certification. It is part of a broader effort to break down barriers to tech employment by providing hands-on training, job readiness support, and employer connections.

Veterans Innovation Lab
$3,000,000 

The Veterans Innovation Lab will provide dedicated programming and space to support transitioning service members and veterans entering the technology and innovation workforce. The lab will offer customized training, peer mentorship, and startup support tailored to veterans’ leadership experience and technical skills, helping them thrive in civilian tech careers or entrepreneurial ventures.

Youth Tech Empowerment Series
$100,000/year / Naming Rights: $1,000,000

Sponsor free weekend and summer bootcamps for NYC youth in coding, game design, and digital storytelling. Sponsorship includes recognition at showcases, press events, and a feature in the annual Youth Tech Celebration.

Fund a year-long, paid fellowship for emerging technologists working on civic and social impact solutions. Fellows receive mentorship, project funding, and placement at leading tech-for-good organizations. 

Bernard Goldstein Internship and Mentorship Fund Sponsorship 

Support Civic Hall’s mission of inclusive innovation by funding internship stipends and mentorship programs that open career doors in tech and innovation.
