New York, NY —Civic Hall recently hosted the official launch of Margaret, a groundbreaking nonprofit help desk created by the leading fundraising firm Hudson Ferris. Designed to democratize access to expert fundraising advice, Margaret offers mission-driven organizations an affordable way to scale their impact through on-demand guidance from industry leaders.
To mark the occasion, Civic Hall and Hudson Ferris announced a new partnership aimed at empowering changemaker organizations across New York City and beyond. Anyone who signs up for Margaret will receive one free month of Civic Hall membership, providing access to co-working space, expert programming, and a thriving community of innovators and social impact leaders.
Current Civic Hall members will receive a special resource package curated by Hudson Ferris and its partners, including one-on-one fundraising coaching with a Hudson Ferris expert, a Changemaker Storytelling Seminar hosted by Brooklyn Story Lab, a generous discount on DonorAtlas Prospect Research software, and priority access to Beta Features on the Margaret platform. Margaret will also be integrated into Arreva’s ExceedFurther platform for immediate fundraising assistance.
“This partnership is a powerful example of mission-aligned technology in action,” said Jim Malatras, Managing Director of Civic Hall. “We’re thrilled to work alongside Hudson Ferris to lower the barrier to expert fundraising guidance and strengthen the long-term sustainability of organizations advancing the public good. Our members will benefit tremendously from access to this dynamic new platform—and we’re equally excited to welcome Hudson Ferris-affiliated nonprofits into the Civic Hall community. It’s a true win-win.”
“Margaret was created to bring the power of expert fundraising strategy to the organizations that need it most—those doing the hard work on the ground with limited resources,” said Edward Leibman, Founding Partner of Hudson Ferris. “By teaming up with Civic Hall, we’re amplifying access and impact. We’re thrilled to make this support available to a broader community of changemakers.”
Margaret reflects Civic Hall’s commitment to fostering innovation, opportunity, and accessibility in the nonprofit and civic tech ecosystems. The launch event brought together leaders from across philanthropy, tech, and social impact sectors to celebrate this important step toward more inclusive infrastructure for fundraising success.
